The Wooden Boat Festival includes kayaks and has workshops about building one. I chose to build stitch and glue one from a Pygmy Kayak kit which is pretty and paddles well for lake touring. The ones shown here are a big step up in beauty and elegance and require more time and craftsmanship to build. They are works of art, but I am sure they paddle well too. These were displayed on a rack that was not so pretty so I used photoshop to remove the non-kayak stuff and then used content-aware and cloning to fill in the missing bits.
