How To Make An Android App Using Appmakr Software

Appmakr is free software that allows people to make iOS and Android apps. The good side with the software is that you don’t need to have coding skills to use it.

Another advantage is that the software is easy to use. To use it you need to go to Appmakr’s official website and enter the name of the app that you want to create. You should then click on “get started” and sign into the site using your Gmail, Facebook, twitter, or yahoo account.

Once you have provided this information you should click on the “next” button and you will be taken to a page where you will need to enter the functions of the app.

Some of the functions that you need to enter are: calendar and community functions. To set the calendar function you need to find the iCal link and copy it.

You should go back to the machine and click on the events drop down menu. You should drag the calendar icon to the phone interface area and then paste iCal link in the URL field. After doing this you should save your work.

Community is a function that allows users of the same app to post shout outs and leave messages for everyone involved with the community feature. Many people liken it to the Facebook wall.

To set this function you need to click and drag the community icon and then personalize the it with your own icon, page background and your welcome message. You should then save your work once everything is in order.

QR Code Research

I have to make frequent visits from where I’m currently living in Northern Thailand to Bangkok. The bus is the best option for me. Unfortunately, it’s a 10 hour one-way trip. That means I have to keep my self entertained. But with today’s technology, it’s easy to do. For example, the Oishi green tea juice box I was given by the bus service contained a QR code.

On the box it was referred to as an “AR Technology” Code. I took AR as being “Augmented Reality”. That’s a bit misleading but maybe that’s what the company that Oishi uses refers to QR as. By the way, QR is short for “Quick Response”.

I’ve known about QR codes but have never really looked at them other then identifying them on various products. I had yet to go as far as to actually take a picture of the code and see what information it contains. It’s just not too popular back in the States yet and the products that had codes I wasn’t interested in. But I had lots of free time, so I decided to check it out.

According to Wikipedia, QR Codes are very popular in Japan. QR codes were invented in Japan back in 1994 where they are currently the most popular type of two dimensional codes. It also makes sense that my green tea juice box had a QR label on it…Oishi is a Japanese company.

QR codes are often used on advertisements and product packaging so users can snap a photo with their cell phone or web cam and then use the Internet to research product information, promotions/discounts and any number of other things that consumers love so much. I decided to try this out for myself so I downloaded “QR Reader” for my iPhone.

I snapped a photo with my iPhone camera and loaded QR Reader. The app let you either take a picture directly from the app or to choose a saved photo. I selected the photo of the QR label. After a few seconds, the app spit out the following code: 8JZEPC

What does 8JZEPC mean? I was confused so I saved the information and decided to investigate further when I had access to high-speed Internet.

When I got home I went to the AR Code section of the Oishi website. Here’s what the site says:

“Oishi Green Tea invite you to a new experience in gaming. The first combining the best technology in 2010 AR Technology and Restaurant games online together. The first time you will play a restaurant owner. From Interior Design Shop Management with cool menu cooked from all over the world. Using AR Technology as part of the game. Code box beside Oishi Green Tea UHT Transmission via Web Camera Web site Oishi Green Tea. North imaginative fun creating a game full restaurant of the most innovative line of AR.”

Gotta love the translation of this. From what I gather, the code I received is part of a game. Here’s the official link to the QR game. You use this code in the online game/contest to further progress and ultimately win prizes. Pretty cool.

So it turns out that my iPhone read the QR correctly, it was just that instead of expecting a website to read more information about Oishi Green Tea, it was a code used as part of an online game. Go figure! Anyway, I have a good time investigating the technology and I highly recommend Oishi green tea.

5 Tips To Use New Technology To Boost Your Avon Sales

In 2012 there is a huge new market of people who are now using iPad, Kindle fire, iPhone and many types of tablets and internet connection devices. You must figure out how to reach these new techies and you need to do it before your competition does.

Tip 1: Can you put together 20-30 pages of information on your favorite Avon products and put them into a kindle Ebook? Sit some where quite and well lit and write a list of your favorite Avon products. Think about how you use them. Think about why you use them. Why do you think other people should use them? Put all your ideas on paper. Now put all your information together and put them into a PDF file and put it on kindle or give it away at free eBook websites. Make sure you put your web site address and all your contact information in your Ebook. If you take the time to write your Avon eBook it will bring more traffic to your web site. You should also put your eBook on your website as a free gift for people who join your online newsletter or your website. Your eBook could also be about why you think people should start their own Avon business. You could use this eBook to sign up new reps for your down line.

Tip 2: Get an I phone QR Code that directs people to go to your Avon web site. What is a QR code? A QR code is a bar code that can be scanned with a modern cell phone. The code is an interactive link. For example you see an ad in the newspaper and you scan the QR code icon and you will instantly get more information and a link to the product website. You can make one online for free go to google.com and type in “make a free QR Code”. Once you get your own QR code you should put it on all of your advertising media outlets.

Tip 3: Make your own I phone App. You can make an app online for free that you can resell or give it away for free. What kind of app can you make that pertains to your Avon business? Now go back to Tip 1 and see what eBook ideas you came up with. You could make an app about your favorite Avon products or you could make an app about moms that stay at home and work for themselves because of their Avon representative business. You are only limited by your own imagination. One of my favorite interactive app creation tools is Ibuildapp you can make a full app online for free with no coding skills needed. I love this program because honestly I am code illiterate. It is as simple as 1,2,3. Go to Google and type in “Ibuildapp”.

Tip 4: Build a new website to sign up new reps. You can get a blog online for free. If you do not have your own blog then you need to stop what you are doing right now and go get one! Blogs are mandatory for all businesses now. You should have two blogs one to up sell your Avon business and two for signing up new representatives. Your blog should be interactive and should have huge amounts of information about your company. Your second blog should offer great ideas that you use everyday for your Avon product sales. You must help your down line. Get them involved, help them sell more products. Our team meets once a week to discuss previous sales and new sales ideas. We do all kind of fundraisers and sales venues. I do a contest every month for the reps who sell the most products. And let me tell you they work hard for a pamper day and a 200 dollar gift card for Avon products. But this is how I show them I appreciate all their work and you should do something for your stellar reps as well.

Tip 5: This will be your most important tip. Don’t just think about new sales or rep sign ups. Get out there and make new sales happen. Sign up new reps and enjoy your wonderful Avon business. Teach others to sell Avon. Make your own team. Make more money and spend more time with your family. It is easy to day dream about making your business a complete success. It is harder to work at it but the reward is making your day dream into a reality and not just a day dream anymore. Do you want a new house? Do you want a new car? Do you want your family and friends to respect you as a business owner? Unfortunately no one is going to come to you tomorrow and just give you what you want.
