Which Home Made Hair Mask to Use for Your Hair? Many Types of Hair Masks Explained

Doing hair masks is an excellent way to take care of your hair, they protect hair from environment influence, help to make scalp healthier, exfoliate it to provide better nutrition for hair and breathe strength into it. How often should hair masks be used? It all depends on hair condition – if hair need some treatment, better to use it 2-3 times a week. If hair is healthy it is enough to use hair mask once a week to make hair silky and smooth. Face Masks – Everything You Need To Know

Skin care is an extensive subject. While there are endless chemical products, creams, ointments, oils and serums that promise great results for your skin, only a few work without consequences. Skin care, according to most experts, should be as natural as possible. When you start out with a great cleanser, toner then moisturizer you should finalize your routine with the benefits of a facial mask twice weekly. Face masks are ideal for all skin types and the benefits are real. In this post, we will talk about facial masks in detail.

What’s a face mask?

A homemade face mask contains natural and organic ingredients in a concentrated form which are meant to offer instant results. If you cannot be pampered with a professional salon facial every week or month then let’s look at do-it-yourself home facials. Unlike creams and lotions, you don’t use a face mask every day. The right face mask will hydrate skin, remove excess oils, pull out impurities and tone after a single use. Your skin will actually go through a detoxing while using a mask. Masks are incredibly effective at providing the deepest cleansing process which leads to an improvement in the appearance of pores that you can see and feel.

What are the benefits?

Depending on the type of face mask you use, you can expect benefits like reduction in acne, pigmentation, scars and other skin issues. Most masks are meant to offer a quick facial to the skin, so that the face feels more relaxed, rejuvenated and hydrated at the same time. You should also focus on products that are natural and give the best results. Ideally, it’s best to go for organic skin care products that are free from SLS and parabens and don’t have any side effects in the long run. Some masks are meant for specific skin issues. For example, you can find masks that are formulated especially for dry or aging skin.

How to use face masks?

Most products are easy to use and come in either a cream or powder form. To a dry concentrate just add a few drops of water or any other organic solution such as rose water, aloe or buttermilk to create a paste. Apply the mask all over the face and neck and keep it on for at least 20 to 30 minutes. Once the mask has dried completely you can gently wash your face with cool water. Keep in mind that after a few minutes the mask can feel a bit drying on the skin, so use wet hands and circular motion to wash off. Be sure to apply a natural moisturizer immediately after rinsing your mask.

If you are new to face masks, it is wise to read the ingredients in detail. Make sure that you check all the products in a particular range before making a final product decision. You may want to do a patch test for some products, especially if you have acne-prone or sensitive skin.

Oatmeal Skin Masks – Do They Work?

You have probably read about oatmeal skin masks and seen lots of different recipes for how to make them at home. But do they really work? Can you get beautiful smooth skin just by using an oatmeal skin mask?

Well, how effective a homemade face mask will be for your skin depends on what your complexion is like today. You shouldn’t expect any miracles to occur, but neither should you discount the possibility of getting benefits.

Oatmeal has shown to purify and smooth the skin, so yes, oatmeal skin masks can work. Important is of course what other ingredient you’re mixing it with. One of the best oatmeal mask recipes is blending raw egg and oatmeal, and possibly cold pressed olive oil. This kind of mask will moisturize your skin while making it smoother.

If your skin is oily you may want to mix in a little bit of lemon juice, which is naturally drying and makes the pores smaller.

But you can only go so far with a homemade face mask. Yes, they are beneficial to use every once in a while but they won’t have big effects on wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, or other bigger skin issues.

For a more effective improvement you should look for natural skin care products with active ingredients that are proven to work. Only when the ingredients are tested in clinical trials with human volunteers do you know that they actually work.

In order to find really effective natural skin care you should look up the company behind the products to see if they are trustworthy. This may sound unnecessary, but you wouldn’t believe how many unserious skin care companies who only want to make a big profit there are out there. When you have found a sincere company who delivers on their promises it is worth the time you spent on a quick look up.

How to Make Your Own Jigsaw Costume For Halloween

Jigsaw, the puppet like bearer of bad news from the Saw movie series, would be a rather interesting costume for Halloween and pretty easy to make too. I really love the Saw movies so I think it would be a really great costume, and it’s not one you see very often so it would be pretty unique as well.

And it would always be a relevant costume around Halloween too because that’s the time the latest installment in the Saw movie series always comes out. And who knows, if you do a really good job at it, that you may even win a prize or something at your next costume party this Halloween.

If I was to dress up as the character Jigsaw from the Saw movies for Halloween, I would probably concentrate on the mask. Now I wouldn’t recommend this costume for anyone who was going to be around children however, especially enhanced with any of the further details like a saw, because I’m sure that they or their parents might find it pretty disturbing.

The Jigsaw mask would make it rather evident that you were trying to be him right away. To make the mask I would recommend taking a white mask and then dressing it up with the Jigsaw features. These features could easily be painted on a plain white mask. You can also find the Jigsaw mask at several locations but if you wanted to save money you could make it yourself using some paint and a few other items.

The obvious first features would be the red spirals on the cheeks. Also, the Jigsaw mask is like a dummy mask so there would have to be lines drawn down from the middle of the lips to the bottom of the chin to make it look like that part of the mask would move if the character were to talk. Deep red lips with some red blood dripping from them would also make the mask even scarier if you’re trying to go for a scary look.

Other than the mask the costume is quite simple – you could wear mostly black or dress up in a suit as I believe Jigsaw does whenever you see him in the movie. If you wanted to allude even more to the movies you could put something on the Jigsaw costume like something from one of the scenes. The first thing I thought of was needles from the needle pit that they dove into in Saw IV. Although this would be a safety hazard if you used real needles you could just use pictures of needles on your costume or something similar like toy syringes.

I also would think of using a hack saw from the first Saw movie, with chains attached to your legs or something like that. Again though, be cautious and make sure that it doesn’t have a blade that could harm people. I think most people would understand that your costume is simply based on the mask though.

So, I hope that if anyone decides to make their own Jigsaw costume that they have a lot of fun doing it and also have a lot of fun wearing it. Jigsaw costumes have a lot going for them – they are not too common, but are creepy as you’d ever imagine. So go rent a copy of Saw and get ready for even more Jigsaw costume ideas.

A Zorro Halloween Mask is Not That Difficult to Make

It’s very fun and easy to make a Zorro mask for Halloween. Zorro is one of the most recognizable fictional characters there is. You’re sure to have a blast when you wear a Zorro costume for Halloween or any costume occasion. In case you didn’t know, Zorro was a character created by Johnston McCulley in 1919. He is a black masked hero who is a defender of the poor and oppressed during the Spanish colonial era in California. He is a nobleman and a swordsman in the guise of Don Diego de la Vega. He has very cunning fox-like abilities and is often seen with his black horse Tempest.

You can never go wrong with creating a Zorro mask for Halloween. Masks are great costumes for celebrating special occasions and holidays. Masks are traditionally used all over the world in commemoration of religious and national events. In other countries, masks make for a lucrative business as they can sell as high as hundreds to thousands of dollars. Among the many countries known to largely use masks are Africa, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, China, Mexico, Guatemala, and the Caribbean.

What’s good about a Zorro mask is that you can use it for other occasions aside from Halloween, like at cosplays, on stage, birthdays, film, etc. Zorro’s character is very similar to that of Robin Hood, in a way that they both defend a just and noble cause against the evil governing powers of their time. All you’ll need for your Zorro costume are black trousers, a black shirt, black cape, black handkerchief, black thread, needle, black shoes, fake sword, black gloves, black hat, and scissors.

The first step in making your Zorro mask is by draping a black handkerchief over your head like you would a bandanna. Cut out two small holes where the eyes should be so you can properly see through the mask. The next step is to match the black shirt, pants cape, shoes, gloves, and hat altogether to fit the general concept of your hero. The cape should fit your shoulders and should go all the way down to your ankles. You can also create an additional accessory in the form of a red sash (this is really optional). The entire costume wouldn’t be complete without Zorro’s famous sword. Draw a fake curving mustache on your face and you’re all ready to go. All you need now is the accent and charisma that only Zorro is known for.

The most exciting thing about dressing up for the holiday is the pleasure of being able to spend it with your friends and family. What I enjoy most about the festivities is how it transports me back to a time when I didn’t have a care in the world and when the world was kinder, easier and more beautiful – back when I was a child. So go on, wear and enjoy your Zorro mask and maybe, just maybe, you’ll catch a glimpse of what it feels like to be a kid again.

So let’s start off by creating a fairly basic cucumber mask that only requires one ingredient – CUCUMBER

Ingredients

One Cucumber

Blender

Bowl

Preparation

The key to creating a good cucumber mask is to start off by putting it in the fridge. A few hours in the fridge allows the cucumber to cool down.

Next, the application aspect is completely down to preference. You can either chop the cucumber into slices and put them on your face or you could grate the cucumber and apply it to your dry skin.

Another option is to take the cucumber and place it in a blender creating a paste of sorts. This option is more messy as the cucumber will be sliding over your face but hey whatever falls off the face can be used to creating a refreshing cucumber drink.

Make sure to avoid the eye area when placing the cucumber face mask. I normally place the DIY face mask for about 20 – 30 minutes which gives me a good excuse to lie down as well.

Once you are done, wash off the face mask with cold water and pat your skin dry with a clean towel.

Last but not least, apply moisturizer or few drops of olive oil which will help to retain the moisture.

Now that wasn’t that difficult was it? by creating your own mask, you have not only saved money but also managed to use up vegetables that were not getting used. The best bit though is that with this entire process you end up getting a bit of ‘ME’ time which is essential.
