This Mourning dove is sitting on a bird feeder I made totally from used material, the roof is made from shutter slots that I kept from the first renovation, I love using copper, as you see here it has developed green patina, it takes 20 years for the copper to turn green,
Doves gather around the pond most of the day during the winter,
Spring and Summer nesting on the trees around the garden.

This is a new Axe and Shield that I have just completed. (I haven’t done one of these for 7 years now) The Axe handle is Oak with a leather grip and copper wire wrapping. The head and inlays are metal powder filled resin. When polished these have the real weight and feel of metal. The shield is stained plywood and has cast resin plates. Oh yes… its strictly for display purposes only!
Axe length 22", shield diameter 22".
PS it says to the right that this pic was taken on a Canon EOS 50 D. It wasn’t I’m afraid, I borrowed a background image from my dad that was taken on one and attached my image onto it with Corel Photo Paint.
