Forum Marketing for Success Explained

Forum marketing can be very effective in growing your list and getting traffic to your website as long as you choose popular forums where there are lots of posts daily from visitors asking questions and making comments.

To search for forums in your niche go to Google and type in forum, followed by your topic or niche this will bring up a collection of forums for you to investigate. Choose the ones that best suit your niche and you feel at home with.

For the next few days visit often sign in and introduce yourself; don’t post immediately get the feel of the forum and what people are saying etc. Read the terms and conditions of each forum, they differ slightly and become familiar with the way the forum is run.

Soon you will be able to become an active member leaving helpful posts and asking questions. Never make useless, hurtful comments, or answer with a “yes I agree”, without some useful information and your thoughts. Don’t post just to get your signature noticed always be helpful and courteous. You want to build a relationship with other members. In time you may meet suitable JV partners to share ventures with, or exchange lists and generally help each other, so be patient.

Your aim is to become an expert or authority in your field and become known as such on the forums. You only need to know more than the people asking the questions! If you don’t know the answer, do a Google search and then reply with the answer in your own words, you can link to the article you have found if the forum permits. This will not only help others but also, get your posts noticed and it will increase your knowledge about your subject too; a win, win situation.

There are different rules in forums about how soon you can add your signature. This is a recognizable phrase advertising your business with a link back to your website for anyone who is interested, to follow.

Links from forums create good back-links which search engines notice and your Google ratings will improve.

Forums are good for directing targeted traffic to your website because the members on that forum are in the same niche, and their interests will be similar to yours if you choose your forum carefully. They are as keen to learn more information as you are. If your information and products are of high quality members are likely to be interested and you will build a good reputation. Members will click your link via your signature and probably join you email list if your opt-in page has a great offer.

We would like to wish you every success in your venture.
